I find this interesting… especially considering how much of a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I’ve been ever since 1985 when it first came out as a cartoon. Since then I have collected/seen nearly every comic/toy/cartoon/etc and yet I don’t have any rage against Michael Bay for being part of the movie.
I tend to think that the show wasn’t that great to begin with. Good kids fair, but not exactly Shakespeare. So some hype machine wants to redo it in strange fashion. Just let it go! To paraphrase Nodwick, because I can’t find the exact quote right now, ‘He can’t take away the memory of how much you enjoyed it!’ Bay will be Bay and apparently people will pay him for it no matter how atrocious the films he makes get.
Oh my god, the memories… I had something really similar to what the guy in the 3rd pannel’s wearing when I was a kid. Only difference is there wasn’t a shell, the mask had a plastic nose-thingy on it, and the belt was molded plastic on the front with the “L” buckle.

Probably because I saw http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/5525-Mutants-and-Masses and completely agreed with what Bob said in the video.
Funnily enough, I’ve been touting nearly the same exact theory since first hearing the news on Alien Ninja Turtles.
